What we offer

 

To increase their yields, farmers need a few important things. First, they need good quality farm supplies. They also need training on the best ways to plant and advice on choosing crops that grow well on their land. Finally, having a way to store their harvest safely helps them feed their families all year and sell extra crops when prices are good.

 

We offer quality products and services in deeply rural areas, along with affordable and flexible payment options. As our customers, farmers choose products that make sense for their farms.

 

We support many staple crops, such as maize, beans and vegetables, which farm families rely on for food.

How we find farmers

To connect with as many farmers as we can, we help farmers directly and team up with other groups. In our complete service program, we support farmers all year by:

• Offering them good farm products on credit, which they pay back during the growing season.

• Bringing these products close to their homes, just in time for planting.

• Teaching farmers efficient farming methods and how to sell any extra crops they have.

How we grow sustainably

Scale

• The sowing seeds program will start with 50 farmers allowing us to pilot our concept, learn and adjust before we scale in Ghana. The objective is to reach 1000 farmers within the first three years before we copy the concept in the south of Mali. 
   

Trust

• Our field leaders reside and operate within the communities they assist. This proximity builds trust among farmers, as our field staff are frequently their neighbors and fellow farmers. By treating farmers as customers, we ensure they have a significant say in how our operations are conducted.

 

Efficiency

• Our goal is to increase farmers' earnings for every dollar we invest. We refer to this as our "community benefit ratio," commonly abbreviated as CBR.

 

Impact

• We engage with farmers to make a positive impact. By collaborating closely with them, we offer the best farming methods available. We also work with partners to ensure access to the highest quality seeds, pesticides, and fertilizers, maximizing the benefits for the farmers
